Tour of Southern Lifou:
– Luengöni Beach offers an idyllic postcard setting with its crystal-clear water and its white sand beach. Certainly one of the most beautiful beach of Lifou.
– Wonderful Turtles Bay & Wadra Bay in Mou.
– Xodre cliffs: a little walk to reach a breathtaking viewpoint on the sea and on the waves crashing below.
Tour of Northern Lifou:
– Vanilla plantation of Mucaweng: discover the secrets of Vanilla production, the “brown gold” of Lifou.
– Jokin cliffs: on the top North of the Island. With a height about 40 meters Jokin cliffs offer a wonderful view on crystalline waters which reveals coral heads and amazing colors.
– Chapel of Notre Dame de Lourdes at Easo: easy access after a short walk. This chapel was built in 1898 and offers a panoramic view on Santal and Jinek bays. During winter, with a pair of binoculars, whales can be spotted.
– Stop at “la Grande Chefferie de Hnathalo” (most important chiefdom): one of the most beautiful traditional hut of New Caledonia, with a diameter of 12 meters. This is a symbol of customary organization. (Inside visit is not allowed).
